Have you experienced the following situation before?

You’re hit with a wave of inspiration — maybe you’ll start that novel you’ve been dreaming about, or go to the gym more regularly, or clear the chores, emails, and other tasks that are gathering dust in your to-do list.

But after a few days or weeks, you get overwhelmed. And you either give up or get distracted by the next thing you’re excited about.

This turns into a cycle where people end up not achieving the things they want in life.

We all know our time is finite. And we can’t afford to waste it on useless stuff.

Seneca put it best:

“Putting things off is the biggest waste of life: it snatches away each day as it comes, and denies us the present by promising the future.”

Always remind yourself that not getting things done today is a detriment to your future self.
